Many residents in Colorado will be happy to hear that its new energy economy has created thousands of new jobs. Colorado converted to a new energy economy using wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, and other new, renewable resources for energy.
This conversion is saving the state money, generating millions of dollars in revenue, promoting public health, and protecting society. In addition, it is decreasing water demand and the amount of carbons released into the air.
The people of Colorado have highly contributed to the new environmentally friendly economy. They surpassed the proposal to have 10% of the state’s electricity come from renewable sources seven years early. So now, their goal is to obtain 20% of their electricity from renewable sources by 2020.
