In a move that suggests the way of the future, Integrity Manufacturing announced plans to build a one-million square-foot plant in Franklin, KY.
Integrity will be building the energy efficient “ZAP,” or Zero Air Pollution, vehicles for the Santa Rosa, CA-based car company.
Integrity will be investing $84 million in a four-year timeframe to get the plant done and be eligible for state money.
Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear signed a $48 million tax incentive plan that would welcome Integrity and bring some 4,000 jobs to Simpson County. The move shows the Governor’s support both of the state’s economy and the wellbeing of the environment.
Earlier this month, Governor Beshear signed off on a bill allowing ZAP cars on Kentucky roads. The move will allow ZAP cars to cruise on roads in their back yard -- even if they only travel 45mph.
