About the Position:
This is a Power Plant Senior Electrician Leader WB-2810-00 position with the USACE Little Rock District, Operations Division, McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS), and will be filled at the Ozark Power Plant located in Ozark, AR or Dardenelle Power Plant located in Dardanelle, AR.

Responsibilities
As a Leader, you will be responsible for delegating to Power Plant Electrician/Electronics/Mechanic A employees and other workers the instructions received from supervisors and assigned work
Assign the immediate task to be performed; working along with other workers and setting the pace; demonstrating proper work methods
Answer questions of other workers on guidance and procedures; checking work in progress and when finished
Report on status and progress of work, and causes of work delays; answering questions of the supervisors on overall work operations and problems
Perform periodic inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of equipment failures, break down repairs, and replacement of electrical and electronic equipment and facilities
Prepare written equipment inspection and repair reports
Maintain records of materials used and originates requisitions for supplies, materials, and tools
Travel Required
Occasional travel - Travel for Business (TDY) is required 10% of the time

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Power Plant Senior Electrician Leader without more than normal supervision.
This includes ability to perform common troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, repair and inspection of complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment and systems at a multipurpose hydroelectric dam, hydroelectric power generating plant, spillway, intake structure or switchyard.

PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work tasks require that the incumbent be capable of rapid simultaneous mental and muscular coordination in conjunction with eye and hand coordination to operate switches and controls in accordance with meter indications. In order to perform the maintenance, inspection and operation of power station equipment the incumbent will lift and carry heave objects 45 pounds and over, climb and reach above the shoulders, stand, sit, crawl and kneel for prolonged periods of time and performs repeated bending. The incumbent must be able to utilize the power plant communications system, and to do so hearing and speech is necessary. In order that color codes be recognized the incumbent must have correctable vision and the ability to distinguish basic shades of colors. Operation of cranes, pickups and other motor vehicles is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The incumbent will work primarily inside around machinery in operation, in close proximity to high and low voltage circuits and climb stairs frequently. Sometimes work will be performed outside in weather of varying degree of temperature and humidity, in tight or cramped work spaces, on ladders or scaffolds and on slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Occasionally the incumbent will use solvents or degreasing agents, be assigned to protracted or irregular hours of work, use both hands in water and be exposed to silica, asbestos, oil, grease, excessive noise, vibration, smoke and gas fumes. Personal protective safety devices will be supplied to the worker when in an area of hazardous exposure. Examples of devices are hard hats, safety shoes, safety goggles and glasses , fresh air breathing masks, gloves, dust and smoke respirators, ear muffs, insulated gloves and safety grounds. The incumbent, when in an area of hazardous exposure, will wear the appropriate personal safety device.
