Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Controller Plant- Finance Analyst- Renewable Energy will provide strategic and financial support to the LM Wind Power Supply Chain operations team in the Grand Forks, ND manufacturing plant. With the plant manager and operating team, you will develop and execute strategic financial manufacturing / sourcing objectives and drive optimized cost / profitability of the company’s products as you deliver on growth and synergy commitments for the LM Wind Power business.
Essential Responsibilities:
As the Supply Chain Finance Analyst, you will:
Provide direct support and leadership to plant management for all manufacturing financial information
Lead factory transformation and growth by meeting the manufacturing target and operating budget
Implement plant operating metrics (KPI’s), such as % Direct Labor, productivity, inventory, cash
Direct materials consumption analysis and reporting
Track actual manufacturing hours vs. plan, variance analysis and corrective action
Lead site variable / base cost out actions and drive financial accountability for cost
Work with Controller to perform quarterly closing activities
Take the lead in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) from finance perspective for factory efficiency
Drive and validate sourcing initiatives to meet working capital, inventory and cash commits
Inventory movement, scrap, indirect expense analysis and reporting
Maintain CAPEX planning, reporting, tracking
Maintain standard costs of direct materials and product
Participate in and contribute to plant management meetings as a Plant leader
Support obsolete / slow-moving inventory analysis & reporting:
Responsible for the oversight of the physical inventory process
Support process standardization
Support financial reporting
Support budget process
Support monthly closing activities
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain finance leadership position(s) (OR minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance / FP&A positions)
Desired Characteristics:
Master's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance from an accredited college or university
Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
