Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. seeks an energy regulatory associate with two to five years of experience to join one of our seven offices.
The ideal candidate should have substantive experience with respect to (i) energy regulatory (with FERC or state regulatory bodies) and (ii) renewable energy matters. Experience with energy and/or renewable energy project development is a plus. A candidate with strong interest in the position who currently may not have significant background in all of the foregoing areas should be committed to becoming well-versed in them. In addition to the foregoing, candidates will be expected to support the firm’s national environmental practices as needed. Candidates should describe their experience in all of these areas.
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
Status as an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one state jurisdiction and the ability to obtain licensure in the District of Columbia within 6 months of hire.
Demonstrated experience with TSCA.
Supplementary experience with drafting persuasive public comments or with administrative record litigation is also a plus.
Strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to work well under deadlines, and the ability to assume significant client responsibilities.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
College degree in chemistry or physical science/environmental studies is a plus.

In accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which this position may be filled, the base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $230,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience. The compensation for this position may also include a discretionary annual bonus and an hours-based bonus.
