Role Summary:

The Process Engineer is the Engineering role supporting broach processes on our small engine military hardware line. Goal of the Process Engineer role is to support process improvement efforts, and daily support of the Small Engine Broach process in the Forge Broach Machine Business in GE Rutland.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, as the Process Engineer, you will:

Defines and controls broach process including tooling, equipment, development, and PM / equipment continuity plan

Creates & optimizes production to support the operators & shop floor’s daily production needs

Maintains a very high standard of quality

Interfaces with Product Engineers, Product Quality Team, and Operators daily

Supports Lean Transformation In Progress within the Value Stream

Directly responsible for Continuous Improvement efforts in the SE Broach Process

Validates design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

Develops new solutions under guidance / team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

Works together with business leadership at SPB and EB level

Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

Delivers products as part of a team

Works on cross functional teams

Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

Ability to work independently

Strong problem solving skills
