To perform expertise in data analysis, PV system behavior, general electrical knowledge, and well-developed skills in communication. The successful candidate, above all else, must have a passion for renewable energy and a knack for troubleshooting. PV design and installation experience is preferred. A strong willingness to teach and learn is essential
Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Design, develop, document and maintain software implementation methods, including quality control, knowledge management, best practices and standard procedures.
Analyze performance of PV power plants using system modeling, measured data, and analytical tools
Identify operational issues and initiate problem resolution
Use comparative baseline analytics to determine levels of performance of all energy assets
Summarize data and author narratives for periodic reports for clients
Work closely with all Performance Team members to design tool sets for analysis and reporting
Documents system specific details, event logs, design data, and issue/resolution processes
Helps to maintain good customer, partner and subcontractor relationships
Assists project managers with interconnection and DAS related project coordination
Coordinates with utilities and vendors to facilitate plant operation
Complete other responsibilities as assigned MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in computer science/engineering/mathematical/networking/software development or equivalent experience
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience
A working knowledge of photovoltaic energy systems is essential
Experience using PVSyst software is highly desired
Candidates must demonstrate spreadsheet (MS Excel) skills to be considered
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills candidates must be able to interact with clients under stressful conditions
Ability to analyze and prioritize problems with specific focus on results and problem solving methods
Considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, equipment, and standard clerical techniques
