What is the role?

Integrated Gas, Renewables & Energy Solutions (IGR&ES) is developing clean energy solutions to enable customers to meet their decarbonisation goals and deliver value to Shell as part of the Powering Progress Strategy.

Global Customer Solutions (GCS) is responsible for driving the global customer agenda across our B2B and B2C businesses, covering global marketing, customer experience and product development and leading the global business for Technology, Commercial, Light Industry and Cities sectors.

This role sits in the Global B2B Marketing team in Global Customer Solutions (GCS) and is responsible for managing the long-term global direction for the Shell Energy B2B brand CVP and customer strategy. The role will connect and build on the strengths of our regional businesses to set long term direction for the Shell Energy brand as a provider of innovative, reliable, and cleaner energy solutions and create connections across Renewables & Energy Solutions to build a strong B2B energy brand positioning as well as seeking opportunities to drive customer-centric collaboration between the Energy Marketing businesses and Shell Downstream.

Responsibilities

Shell Energy B2B Brand Strategy

Develop and execute global B2B customer strategy including global customer segmentation and targeting strategy, with collaborative regional marketing input.

Manage 18–36-month strategy for the Shell Energy B2B global brand CVP and brand narrative, liaising with regions and DS business to build a strong global B2B brand

Build connections across power and mobility, liaising with Sectors, Hydrogen and e-Mobility marketing on related insights and an integrated customer approach.

Work with internal stakeholders in local and global teams to encourage and support marketing excellence for delivery of the strategic brand CVP in marketing plans

Work in tandem with external agency partners, commercial teams, customer insights, SBI, and product development teams to develop brand strategy game changers

Drive compliance with branding guidelines and communication standards

Planning and Performance

Input to strategic marketing planning and global marketing communications strategy, encouraging a ‘one marketing plan’ mindset across our businesses.

Evaluate brand performance and share best practice across regions

What we need from you

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor's degree in a technical or marketing-related field is required. A Master's Degree is strongly recommended.

Minimum 7 years of experience in brand management, customer insights interpretation and Customer Value Proposition development, able to drive long term brand vision and provide thought leadership for brand and marketing strategy.

Excellent verbal and written communication, able to translate complexity into clear narratives.

Able to inspire others and engage stakeholders at peer and leadership team levels.

Inquisitive, self-starting, comfortable with autonomy and putting your opinion forward.

Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross functional project teams with proven project delivery skills.

Proven knowledge and experience in the energy business would be an advantage.

Entrepreneurial drive and ability to manage high levels of uncertainty and change

A strong interest in developments in the energy transition and related macro industry trends: good knowledge of the broader energy transition business and technology innovations will be an advantage.
