he Team:
Gas, Power & Climate Solutions Group is recruiting an Energy professional to join our MI Commodities Product Management team. This team sets and implements the strategic direction of the Energy offering on the Capital IQ platform. Individuals interested in this position will plan, direct and drive adoption of our market-leading business analysis platform to the power, natural gas, and coal industries.
This position requires working across multiple teams including sales, account management, data collection, client support, and global development teams for successful product releases. Individuals manage multiple projects within an Agile development framework. Additionally, the Product Manager meets with clients and prospective clients to gather market feedback and promote our best-in-class software solution.
Responsibilities:
Define MI Commodities’ Energy product strategy and delivery best-in-class analysis tools and data to support analysis diverse client base.
Monitor industry trends and competitive activity to identify additional markets for MI Commodities.
Collect and synthesize input from customers, sales, account management and client support to identify product deficiencies and opportunities to build and maintain a product roadmap.
Leverage subject matter expert to support development and data collection teams to deliver high value data and analysis.
Educate front-line professionals on product capabilities, and key client workflows to drive higher customer value and adoption.
Lead Agile development team (Product Owner), execute on projects within the scheduled release cycle
Required Skills:
Agile experience
2 – 3 years in the energy sector as a market analyst or strategic business development analyst
Strong communication skills across all audiences, including industry experts & novices, senior management, and technical teams
Ability to translate customer requirements to technical requirements
Strategic thinker; able to identify opportunities based on industry trends
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines and across multiple teams
Motivated, self-starting, willing take risks and challenge conventions
Travel: typically 10%
Preferred Skills:
1 – 3 Years of relevant product management experience
MBA or similar experience

Compensation/Benefits Information

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $89,912 to $140,453. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
