The successfulcandidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve personal injuryand property damage claims both for and against SCE. Essential job functionsinclude: Managingmultiple concurrent customer claims and investigation projects; preparingdetailed accident investigation reports and memorandums on a daily basisregarding property damage, bodily injury, and business loss, while using propergrammar, spelling and punctuation; communicating with customers\/clients. Conductingfield investigations including first\/third party vehicle accidents, trip andfalls, fires, and electrical contacts. Interfacingwith Edison contractors and Field Personnel including Troublemen, Repair Crews,Line Clearing Specialists, Field Service Representatives, and PlanningPersonnel. Representingthe Company in Small Claims Court; representing the Company at Mediations,Settlement Conferences, and Trials, and assisting Counsel as required. Travelingthroughout the SCE service territory as needed. Maintaininga safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols andsafe work practices. Performing other responsibilities and duties asassigned Qualifications MinimumQualifications: Three years of experience inclaims field investigations. Mustbe able to represent the Company in Small Claims Court. Possessand maintain a valid driver license. Desired Qualifications: Typicallypossesses six or more years of experience investigating and resolving claimsfor and against the Company. Bachelor'sDegree in Business or a related or an equivalent combination of education,training, and experience. Demonstratedexperience investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving personalinjury and property damage claims including electrical and fire incidents. Demonstratedexperience writing reports or memorandums such as property damage, businessloss, accident, incident, investigation, collision, bodily injury, and fire,etc., using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Demonstratedexperience interfacing and collaborating with clients, peers, management, andother departments. Demonstratedexperience managing multiple concurrent projects or assignments. Demonstratedexperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Mustdemonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop thebusiness and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, managerisks and safety appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manageinformation, and provide exceptional service to internal and externalcustomers. Mustdemonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, resultsdelivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevanttechnology and innovation. Mustdemonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonalskills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engagein continuous learning. Demonstratedability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
