Energy Analyst Job Description Energy Analyst Position Purpose : Manage corporate GHG emissions (baseline, Business Unit target and glide-path tracking, analysis of portfolio of more than 600 projects for energy and GHG savings). SCOPE and dimensions This role will report to the Global Energy Services Team within the regional Supply Chain organization. Use of the SOFI database for accurate and precise tracking of enterprise greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and all energy metrics from energy invoice through emissions and energy deviation reporting at all organizational levels (corporate, BU, region and site) Support all programs (LEAN energy, conservation project best practices and standards adoption) through applied engineering support; assist on project and initiative ideation through commercialization through applied engineering analysis of thermal & mechanical systems for energy impacts. Demonstrate ability to use energy management principles to contribute to LEAN energy & conservation best practice adoption energy savings initiatives through energy assessments, best practice gap analysis and application of new technology PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Primary responsibility for analysis energy project portfolio and its impact on environmental\/energy\/emissions aspects of K-C global emissions.\u00a0 Coordinates w\/ regional energy leaders (PMO leaders\/regional energy coordinators\/mill coordinators) to analyze and quantify energy impacts of initiatives from idea stage through implementation. Responsible for understanding and assisting in the adoption of energy best practices and standards by sites. Responsible to prepare reports for Climate & Energy metrics for internal and external reporting including K-C sustainability report, PMO tracking, external agency and NGO reporting. Establish priorities, seek business alignment and partner with business unit teams. Leverage relationships and influence appropriate corporate, functional, and facility team members, including Regional Sustainability Business Partners, Energy Team members, Sustainability Strategy team members and business unit EHS\/Sustainability leaders, for effective execution. Participate in EHS audits (performance standard and management systems) for KC owned facilities as directed. Communicate with team members and others who have a need to know. Supply Chain personnel including plant management, environmental and operational leaders Appropriate Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations Qualifications : This position requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a bachelor\u2019s degree or foreign equivalent degree in environmental engineering or a related field. Has 5-10 years\u2019 experience in mill \/ plant and of staff operations, product supply or research. Engineering experience desirable. Excellent presentation, communication skills and overall business acumen to be credible with global customers and end users. Experience in building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Working knowledge and passion for sustainability\/sustainable development Ability to drive conclusions and insights from simple and complex problems and issues; Strong numerical and verbal reasoning ability Proven project management skills Self-driven and highly motivated, with the ability to demonstrate KC behaviors and culture of accountability; Passion for sustainability\/sustainable development and a belief in what could be; has a broad appreciation and understanding of corporate social responsibility - environmental issues, social responsibility and business management and the interrelationships of these disciplines.
