Tasks: ABB is seeking a Quality Control Systems Field Service Engineer to work independently and as part of a local team based on customer and service contract requirements in the local area. You\u2019ll work as part of our Process Automation team, which engineers solutions and products such as electric propulsion, mine hoists, turbochargers, and pulp testing equipment. Typical duties\/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: \u2022 Troubleshoot and maintain installed ABB quality control services products and systems. \u2022 Recommend measures to improve operations and customer service. \u2022 Work independently to install, modify, test, repair, or inspect company products and equipment. \u2022 Interpret technical drawings and schematics and make changes as necessary in the field to reflect work carried out on site. \u2022 Promote ways to optimize customer operations or make general improvements. \u2022 Seek other opportunities to promote customer satisfaction and foster harmonious business relations. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: \u2022 High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of professional work experience; OR \u2022 Associate\u2019s Degree and 3 years of professional work experience; OR -Bachelors Degree and one year of professional work experience. Alternatively, this position may be filled at the Senior level for the successful candidate meeting these basic qualifications: \u2022 High School Diploma or GED and 7 years of professional work experience; OR \u2022 Associate\u2019s Degree and 5 years of professional work experience; OR -Bachelors Degree and 2 years of professional work experience. Preferred Qualifications: \u2022 Associate's degree with a focus on electrical, mechanical, and electronics courseware plus 5 years of professional experience within the pulp and paper industry. \u2022 Military Electronics Experience (minimum 6 years). \u2022 Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating System. \u2022 Solid working knowledge of the ABB 1190, 800xA, AC450, Advant, and Ulma\/WIS systems. \u2022 Experience with Accuray and the Smart Advisor Camera based system. \u2022 Solid working knowledge and understanding of the technical interaction with the process. -Candidates must have prior work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
