The Naval Shipboard Sensors and Weapons Group (NSSWG) focus is to provide engineering, technical and programmatic support to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors (PEO IWS 2.0) Directorate. Efforts include overarching program management, test and evaluation, systems engineering, operations analysis, systems integration, international, cyber security, IT network and programmatic support for over 25 PEO IWS 2.0 advanced radar, phased array radar, electronic warfare, electro-optic, advanced off-board electronic warfare\/decoy programs and Directed Energy Programs. NSSWG staff support a variety of tasks including: support and completion of major technical reviews; producing required acquisition documentation; meeting critical program milestone deadlines; managing program needs and external requirements, and; ensuring the right resources are provided to the right priorities at the right time. Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree-Engineering preferred. • 5 years’ experience working in an acquisition program office environment, to include practical working knowledge and experience with documentation, processes, protocols, formats, and deadlines.• Previous military experience, particularly in Navy or Surface Warfare experience.• Experience and familiarity with the DOD Acquisition Process.• Demonstrated ability to work on a team and independently.• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.• Capability to operate in a highly dynamic environment to a wide variety of programmatic and technical challenges to provide high quality services and products with minimum time and supervision.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Proficient with MS Office suite. • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.• Energetic self-starter with an open mind, eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, dependable and flexible. • Demonstrated forward thinking\/proactive problem solving skills. • Proactively capture tasking from clients.• Active DoD security clearance.Desired• Familiarity with IWS 2.0 DE programs, techniques, and applications.Job Description:The Directed Energy (DE) High Energy Laser Integrated Optical Sensor (HELIOS) Assistant Program Manager (APM)\/Contract Officer Representative (COR) support position shall perform the following duties: Review and provide feedback on HELIOS documentation as required. Support HELIOS meetings\/reviews as needed. Collaborate with other members of the IWS 2DE organization. Develop an understanding of all IWS 2DE and other DoD laser programs, with the goal of coordination among IWS and external stakeholders when possible, and awareness of similar efforts in the laser community. Maintain and update HELIOS program documentation, including, but not limited to, HELIOS program schedule(s), organization charts, program status briefings and other documentation as required by the HELIOS APM. Support HELIOS APM\/COR coordination with field activities (e.g. NSWC DD, NSWC Crane, NSWC PHD) and other activities (e.g. WSMR, ONR). Support HELIOS APM\/COR in coordinating with external stakeholders, throughout execution of HELIOS contract. On behalf of the HELIOS APM\/COR coordinate and support execution of HELIOS Program status reviews, design reviews and other key System Engineering Technical Review events with the HELIOS prime contractor. Participate in requirements and planning meetings for new DESIL facility. Attend IWS 2.0 DE weekly meetings and facilitate HELIOS APM\/COR meetings. ectly support IWS 2.0 HELIOS with daily tasking.
