\u003cli\u003eProvide engineering support to plants as requested\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eAnalyze plant and fleet O\u0026amp;M performance data and identify improvement opportunities. In coordination with Plant Management, recommend improvements (i.e., capital improvements, technologies, and/or processes) to plant owners for further development. When assigned, provide technical direction to implement these improvements.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eIssue fleet Engineering Bulletins and other technical guidance based on individual plant issues\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eOversee improvement initiatives such as reliability centered maintenance (RCM) initiatives to identify and develop improvements to predictive, preventive, and spare inventory maintenance programs for increased reliability and availability.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eProvide technical leadership and program coordination in plant performance analysis and testing. Assist plant staff in monitoring and improving unit efficiencies. Research, identify, and justify performance improvements for all generating units\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eUtilize industry resources to identify new and innovative techniques and best practices. Serve as champion for new techniques as appropriate\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eLead complex client engagements, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction and displaying commercial acumen that supports department financial goals\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eCollect and maintain plant technical and operational information, providing it to those requesting or needing it\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eManage and conduct technical analysis of operational performance, maintenance and diagnostic data to identify and communicate abnormal conditions, lead root cause investigations, recommend effective corrective actions and identify potential cost savings. \u003cp\u003eThis position reports to the Chief Engineer and works closely with the Operations Directors and power plant staff.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cp\u003eThe Plant Operations Engineer can work remotely or from any NAES Corporate office location. \u0026nbsp;Some extended hours and travel may be required as needed to support plant needs.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003eAll employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around plant facilities.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cli\u003eA Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; In lieu of an engineering degree, we will consider candidates with at least 6 years of operations and/or maintenance experience in power generation. A minimum of five years\u0026rsquo; experience as a Plant Engineer or equivalent position is also preferred.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eProfessional Engineer registration is desirable\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eThe ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in power generation electrical systems, understanding of electrical drawings, electrical system troubleshooting and maintenance, and application of NFPA 70, 70B, and 70E standards.\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eExperience with project scheduling and budgeting is desirable\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eMust have a demonstrated capability to evaluate technical performance, identify potential improvements, develop appropriate technologies, and determine/apply \u0026ldquo;Best Practices\u0026rdquo; in technical areas\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eExcellent writing and analytical skills and an ability to present facts, conclusions and recommendations in written communications, both in formal and informal formats\u003c/li\u003e
