Description: The Production Controller is in charge of monitoring batch job execution using BMCu2019s Control-M software. When batch jobs fail, the Production Controller performs the initial investigation of the cause and then takes appropriate action per the job instructions. This often involves notifying the appropriate programmer/analyst per call-out instructions. They will also handle special requests (u201cmanualsu201d) from programmer/analysts to run, cancel or rerun batch jobs.u00a0 Responsibilities may include: Monitoring batch job execution using BMCu2019s Control-M software Performing the initial investigation of batch job failures Notifying the appropriate programmer/analyst according to callout instructions Handling special requests to run, cancel, or rerun jobs Proactively monitoring the production environment and notifying appropriate personnel Production Control is staffed on nights, weekends, and holidays.
