Job Description
The strategy and business development team partners across GE Digital’s four business units to:
Analyze markets and perform deep customer immersion to ensure GE Digital’s strategic alignment with the biggest customer problems worth solving
Perform scenario planning to understand market trends and anticipate disruptions
Leverage Lean principles to optimize our business strategy and ensure everything we do translates into value for our customers
Develop gameboard strategies to accelerate GE Digital’s growth through smart organic and inorganic investments
Cultivate ecosystem relationships that evolve into valuable partner and acquisition opportunities
Prioritize and execute pipeline of GE Digital’s most important strategic initiatives
Develop and drive best in class standard work for strategy and business development throughout the business
Ideal candidates will have:
4-6 years of strategy experience including 2-4 years at a top strategy consulting and/or investment banking firm
Technical undergraduate degree preferred; MBA or equivalent work experience
Strong interest in the Energy Transition, distributed and renewable energy, manufacturing technology and digital business models
Software industry experience, particularly SaaS and cloud business models
A customer-first mindset - expertise in market and competitive research, including customer immersion and other primary research methods
Strong understanding of finance and accounting and financial modeling
Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels across the company
M&A strategy and due diligence experience a plus
Based in San Francisco Bay Area a plus, but open to candidates in other US tech hubs
