Role Summary:
Lufkin Power Transmission is $150M business, part of GE Oil & Gas focused on the production and service of gearboxes in support of compression, electric drive, marine and industrial applications. GE Lufkin Power Transmission has employees worldwide and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Lead Sales Specialist supporting the Northeast portion of the US, you will:
Support existing PT accounts in the assigned region
Develop and grow new service opportunities for end user units in the assigned regions
Be responsible for achieving and exceeding multi-million dollar GE PT orders; transactional and contractual in support of the larger Region sales plan
Represent the GE PT sales leadership in the assigned region; working closely with the Regional Executive, National Executive, key Account Executives and other sales resources to craft a successful cross business regional sales strategy
Be responsible for originating, structuring, negotiating and closing GE PT opportunities with key customers in the region
Work with internal customers to gather information, construct strategies to ensure orders success in the assigned region
Develop and present customer presentations to convey GE PT portfolio of products and services capabilities targeted to specific customers
Provide competitive market feedback to the businesses on any proposals, won or lost
Assist in all major proposal generation, including long-term agreements
Work with other key customer-facing personnel; Customer Support / Service Managers (CSM), Contract Performance Managers (CPM), and New Unit Sales Managers and sister business Sales Teams Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Business from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum of 7 years experience in Sales and/or Marketing)
Minimum 3 years significant sales experienceEligibility Requirements:
Travel up to 60% of the time, as required Desired Characteristics:
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills
Experience working in the Power/Gas transmission market(s)
Strong presentation and communication skills
Knowledge of customer financial drivers
Working knowledge / experience with major customer base in assigned region
Field Engineering or commercial experience
Knowledge of Industrial, IPP, Utility and oil and gas industriesPLEASE NOTE: Ohio is the preferred location, however other U.S. locations may be considered. Locations:
