Role Summary:

The Product Support Engineer will be involved with engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the Product Support Engineer will :

Define and control production process including tooling and equipment

Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

As part of the central Manufacturing Engineering team, work together with organizations across the shop, including hourly operators, peers, and business and site leadership

Specify needs, communicate about project approach and research done, as well as delivers final product

Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support of Product, Process and Equipment Desired Characteristics:

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to influence others and lead small teams

Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact

Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously

Effective problem identification and solution skills

Proven analytical and organizational ability

GE Aviation Rutland Operations is a parts producer for over 100 Commercial Airlines as well as US & Foreign Military.
