About Transmission and Distribution SouthernCalifornia Edison\u2019s (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit(T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating,and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion inassets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents viaSCE\u2019s 5 million customer accounts. Position Overview TheSenior Supervisor is a frontline supervisor to a highly specialized workforceof Meter Technicians within the Metering Field Operations group of the GridOperations Organization. The Senior Supervisor will be held accountable forsafety and deliver tangible results related to the testing and replacement ofmetering equipment, and will supervise between eight to twelve IBEWemployees. In addition, the Senior Supervisor is responsible to ensurethe safety and development of their employees, while providing direction andmonitoring of resources to maximize productivity, cost efficiency, and thescheduling and completion of multiple projects while meetingcustomer\/compliance dates. Theoffice location will either be in Torrance or Santa Monica. TypicalResponsibilities: Ensure that all work is executed and completed in a safe,efficient manner by conducting field observations, recognizing and rewardinggood work practices, correcting unsafe conditions and work practices, andproviding field supervisory support in cases of emergency situations. Optimize the cost efficiency of employees through the managing ofovertime and ensuring accurate tail-boarding, reviewing daily timesheets,resolving employee disputes, hiring personnel, and providing coaching\/feedbackregarding performance. Review\/approve expense sheets. Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicablegovernmental\/regulatory laws and requirements. Promote a safety culture by conducting and overseeing all safetyinvestigations, close calls, safety team participation, and safety stand-downs. Coordinate and interact with other district personnel Interact with bargaining unit employees, union leadership, CraftDriven Safety Program (CDSP), Union Safety Representative (USR), Union SafetyBoard (USB), and Human Resources representatives. Participate in cross-functional teams that support projects andinitiatives.\u00a0 Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Five or more years of experience in the electrical meteringservices (EMS) field. Fouror more years combined experience performingor supervising function or team leadership experience. Avalid Driver\u2019s license. Desired Qualifications Bachelor degree in engineering, business, or a related field, oran equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience as a Meter Technician. Experience with field computer applications including Clicksoft,FATS, EMS Tracking, etc. Handled labor relations, diversity issues, and application of theCollective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Prioritized work, execution of work, and customer satisfaction. Evaluated performance, managed development, and coached &hired of personnel.\u00a0 Comments Candidatesfor this position must be legally authorized to work directly as employees forany employer in the United States without visa sponsorship. Theprimary work location for this position is Santa Monica, CA or Torrance, CA however,the successful candidate will also be asked to divide time between bothlocations.
