**Role Summary:**

This Sydney based role identifies and leads high impact cost out and avoidance projects and initiatives for the customer group and leads and manages the Cost Out and Avoidance (COA) Program delivery to achieve financial targets and customer/company objectives

**Essential Responsibilities:**

Program Leadership, governance and delivery

Set and gain internal stakeholder buy in on the direction and strategy for the COA program

Provide program leadership and maintain, develop and enforce program governance standards

Prepare and chair quarterly Customer/GE Senior Leadership Team meetings

Integrate and oversee project proposal submissions and project delivery efforts of our JV partner

Coordinate projects efforts within the Customer Team and COA Program to ensure cross project dependencies and impacts are understood

Lead and coordinate project ideation sessions with the customer and internally to identify new COA projects

Assist GE Digital and other GE divisions in developing business opportunities with the customer and delivering projects under the COA program

Prepare new project business cases and financials for internal funding approval

Define, coordinate and prepare project scopes and project briefs for new project ideas. Pitch and negotiate new project proposals with the customer

Identify and size individual project benefits. Negotiate and define COA credit terms with the customer

Identify and secure project resources. Coach, guide and assist Project Managers and sub-program managers in project delivery and program governance

Project manage and deliver individual projects as required

Establish and communicate quarterly and annual program objectives and sprint plans. Assist individual Project Managers in setting monthly task objectives and schedules. Conduct project reviews

Monitor program level risks and ensure mitigation plans are put in place. Communicate risks and issues to necessary stakeholders to ensure no surprises or resolve. Ensure Project Managers consider risk in their individual projects and put mitigation measures in place

Review and ensure that the quality of project deliverables and documentation meet CFM and customer expectations

Monitor credit measurement and invoicing. Maintain the COA credit ledger of credit agreed and achieved. Prepare Annual Credit acknowledgement letters for customer signature

Communicate program status and risks/issues to key stakeholders and business leaders. Manage customer and internal stakeholder expectations to ensure program and project delivery

Prepare and publish monthly project and program updates

Regional and Customer Team Support

Actively participate in the GE Customer Team objectives and meetings

Prepare Regional COO/COA/FES program status updates, share key program learnings and set annual targets. Seek, share and institutionalize best practices

Provide overall Lean Six Sigma leadership for the program and assigned business unit


Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Engineering, Digital or business background preferred

Leadership or consulting experience in the areas of Aviation, Digital, Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality

Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt or Project Management certification ideal

Strong negotiation skills and comfortable in dealing with conflict and conflicting priorities

Strong oral and written communication skills
