Job Summary Great opportunity for an individual with strong background in HVAC Tech Support or Field Service to utilize their experience and expertise by joining the select Global Service Development Team. Position is global in scope and focused on being a differentiator for safety, customer experience, growth and profitability by providing technical consultancy on serviceability and safety to hardware product design and development initiatives.
Mission Responsible for all Service items to be ready and complete as scheduled prior to release to Sales. Influence product design based on Service design standards. Create business evaluation; provide specifications for the product design, monitor on-going development, attend design review meetings, coordinate Global training, and ensure spare parts availability before the release to sales. The Program Manager is responsible for service deliverables within the Offer Creation Program
Responsibilities - Develop and define the appropriate Service offering for products in development aligned with Service strategy - Define the technical specifications to be integrated into the product concept and design in collaboration with product development team - Participate in product design reviews to manage safety, serviceability and adherence to service design standards - Monitor the design process to escalate issues to the Process & Methods manager for resolution - Collaborate with Training early in the design process to create, develop and implement a training plan, budget and roster of Field Service Engineers - Review training material for regional support functions: Field Service, Technical Support, Operations - Review product documentation to ensure accurate translation of technical information and to confirm best practices are followed during Installation, Operation, Maintenance & Service - Inform Service Offer Managers about the roadmap and deadlines to define the specific offer for the product - Contribute to the creation of SKUs, review scope of work (SOW) and Site forms are in keeping with Service Offer Managers standards
Additional Responsibilities - Attend product development meetings to manage any potential service issues - Escalate repair and safety design issues to Design For Services (DFS) manager / Service Offer Management Director or Offer Creation management for resolution - Validate Field Service Engineer (FSE) tool development with Regional/Country FSEs - Identify, share and advocate best practices for product and service development as Subject Matter Expert - Other duties as assigned
Interactions Globally with the Enterprise (ES3) Line of Business, business development team, product managers, platform engineering, operations team, marketing communication, other Lines of Business, marketing, Regional Sales and Service Operations, Training at the country level
Experience - Transforming Initial service specs into features integrated in the product at the release to sales phase - Establishing a network with global development resources in the product Lines of Business - Delivering service items on-time consistent with the roadmap - Challenging processes with recommendation for process improvement - Establishing leadership position that is recognized by the other Lines of Business - Reporting & escalating immediately any critical issue to could delay the release to sales - Challenging the product development managers specs to ensure service design standards
Education and Skills - Technical degree, preferred - 8 to 10 years experience in the design and implementation of Services, hardware with concentration in cooling essential - Influence and convince - Networking and negotiation - Ability to work independently and within a team - Excellent communication skills - Problem solving skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment - Passionate, open, straightforward and effective
